Congratulations Mrs. Castro!
We are thrilled to announce that Mrs. Megan Castro has been named the Dr. Gerald H. Woehr Elementary School Teacher of the Year for the 2023-2024 school year! Mrs. Castro has been a dedicated part of the New Egypt school community since the 2003-2004 school year, even beginning her journey here as a student teacher in the district. Over the years, she has taught first, second, and most recently, third grade, making a lasting impact on the lives of countless students. She creates an engaging and supportive classroom environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. Mrs. Castro is a beloved member of the school community, known for her passion for teaching reading and her unwavering support of both colleagues and students alike. We congratulate Mrs. Castro on this prestigious honor and thank her for her many years of dedication, passion, and outstanding contributions to the Plumsted Township School District!
